KNOW-IT-ALL FLETCHER AND THE PIRATE MAP

Eight year-old Jason has a perfect day at the beach planned with his older brother Charlie. But when Charlie decides to hang out with his friends instead, Jason is stuck with the school bore: Sam “Know-It-All” Fletcher. Together Jason and Know-It-All explore the Fundy shoreline, making a pirate treasure map designed to pique Charlie’s interest. But when they finish it, Jason must choose: hold onto the map, or help his new friend Sam escape the rising tide.

KNOW-IT-ALL FLETCHER AND THE PIRATE MAP is a 930-word picture book set amongst St. Martins’ famous sea caves, where the Fundy tide is a character in itself. The story capitalizes on the Bay of Fundy’s status as Canada’s official finalist in the New 7 Wonders of Nature contest, which will be finalized on November 11, 2011.
